WHOLE FOODS DONATES $3600 to ELYSSA’S MISSION.

Ellen Rosenberg of Northfield, a board member of Elyssa’s Mission, recently helped bag shopper’s groceries at Whole Foods Market Wednesday, March 23rd as part of a special Elyssa’s Mission Fundraising Day. Whole Foods donated 5% of their gross sales for that day to Elyssa’s Mission. Elyssa’s Mission is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating and preventing suicide among at-risk teens. Currently, over 35 local area junior high and high schools actively participate in Elyssa’s Mission’s prevention programs.

New Trier High school Sophomore Leah Neustadt and her father, Robert Neustadt, a board member of Elyssa’s Mission, recently had the opportunity to work side by side bagging groceries together at Whole Foods Market in Northbrook, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 for a cause close to their hearts. Whole Foods donated 5% of their gross sales for that day to Elyssa’s Mission. Recalls Rob Neustadt, “It was a great day meeting people and then Whole Foods donated a generous sum to our mission. Very rewarding.
